3DO www.3DO.com 3DO didn't have the largest selection of titles but what they were showing was simply stunning including a Post-Armageddon action thriller, a new street racing game that will blow the doors off the competition and a long-awaited evolutionary remake of the legendary Road Rash series.
Jacked (PS2/Xbox/GameCube) The tracks are quite inventive with plenty of environmental hazards, secret shortcuts, and plenty of stunt opportunites. The visual style of the characters is excellent as is the physics and animation that makes them look like they are really doing these stunts. Characters will even evolve (visually) as they progress through the game. IMAGES
SRS: Street Racing Syndicate (PS2/Xbox/GameCube) When you aren't racing in real-life cities like Miami, LA, and Philadelphia you will hold down a normal job, try to maintain a relationship with one of the gorgeous babes, and live a real life. All sorts of non-racing complexities have been added. For instance, all the girls talk to each other so if your girlfriend happens to be friends with a rival racer you can get inside info on upcoming races, etc. You can also try to steal other racers girlfriends to enhance your "rep" and lower theirs. The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse (PS2/Xbox/GameCube) To compliment this intriguing story are characters and creatures designed by movie legend, Stan Winston, and stars like Tim Curry, Lance Henriksen, and Traci Lords lend their voices to the cast of characters. The action and combat is intense and the level of gore, dismemberment, and overall destruction will appeal to anyone who enjoys adult themes and extreme violence. The finishing moves are some of the best ever, choreographed and mo-capped by the Smashcut Action Team (Matrix 1-3, Fight Club, The Crow). Look for this supernatural thriller this October; just in time for Halloween. IMAGES
