Logitech was one of three major hardware vendors I got to visit with this year and only one of two that was developing both PC and console controllers. I was literally blown away when I sat down in the meeting room with Brian Ritchie at a table overflowing with new controllers ranging from gamepads and joysticks, to wireless mice and keyboards.

The highlight of their massive selection of controllers had to be their stylish black and silver MX Duo wireless keyboard and optical mouse with matching recharging pedestal. Not only is the mouse/keyboard combination full of useful features, it just looks cool with a curved ergonomic design that is both comfortable and functional.

Another innovative controller that definitely fills a much-needed gap is the new NetPlay Controller for the PS2 that features a clever merger of a Dual Shock controller and a keyboard - the perfect controller for playing and chatting in all your favorite online games. It works with EverQuest and the upcoming Final Fantasy XI and is fully licensed by Sony.

Two other products for the PS2 that will definitely be a huge hit with selected gamers is the new USB Headset similar to the one that ships with SOCOM. Since more games are about to release that will make use of voice commands and headset specific audio this will be a useful product for those who didn't purchase SOCOM. The other controller that is going to be a required purchase for driving fans is the new GT Driving Force wheel specifically designed for the new Gran Turismo 4. This solid wheel features a great clamping system and 900-degrees of rotation offering the ultimate in realistic driving.
