Usually there isn’t much to say about what peripheral companies have to show at E3. They’ll have some new controller or something, but nothing worth really writing home about. Saitek however has two new items definitely worth writing about.

First is their new flight stick and thruster,, the X52, an upgrade of last year's X45 HOTAS system. The whole thing looks like something out of Star Trek, sleek and streamlined with a nice ice blue glow, and digital displays on the thruster. No flight sim or desktop pilot should be without one.

The other thing they had was a gamer keyboard, again with a backlight of blue neon and a mouse, well if you could call it that. It functions like a mouse but has a programmable number pad on it, so forget the wheel and two button combo. While this is more than a little unique, I’d like to see it in action before I pass judgment. The whole package does get points for raw style though.

GCM will be reviewing Saitek's new controllers in our expanded Game Gear section over the next few months, so check for reviews and images of these exciting products as they are released.
