  • With the release of any new gaming system there is always a ripe opportunity for third-party hardware manufacturers to capitalize with a line of support peripherals and Pelican is no stranger to hardware. And when it comes to portable gaming systems there is always a need for replacement and supplement power sources, which leads us to our review of the Pelican Car Charger.

So exactly just how do you review an DC Car Adapter? You plug it in and see if it works. The only problem here is that I don't travel that much. I might drive two hours (the time it takes to fully charge the PSP) in a week, so while I haven't had the opportunity to fully recharge my PSP I have been able to charge it in short bursts - about 15 minutes each way to work. And of course, if you aren't driving, you can plug the PSP in and play it using power from the car while charging the battery.

Unlike the AC Adapter, this is something you don't get with the system and something you'll probably want to have handy the next time you take a road trip, especially if you aren't the sole driver. The six-foot cord will even let you play from the backseat. $10 is a great price and the Pelican Car Charger is a great product backed by the best warranty in the business.
