Backbone Entertainment A division of Foundation 9 Entertainment, the largest independent game developer in North America, Backbone Entertainment specializes in developing original and licensed IP for all gaming platforms and multiple media, such as comic books, film, television and consumer products. Backbone has studios in Emeryville, California and Vancouver, British Columbia. Backbone Entertainment is home to some of the most talented artists, engineers, designers and producers in the industry. The studios that make up Backbone Entertainment have been in existence since 1992, when the company was previously called Digital Eclipse.
