BioWare Corp. BioWare is a privately owned electronic entertainment company based in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. The company's experience ranges from the development of videogames to creation of animation for television and film. Founded by Dr. Greg Zeschuk and Dr. Ray Muzyka on February 1, 1995, BioWare's first big commercial release was 1996's Shattered Steel. The company followed up with bestsellers like Baldur's Gate, Tales of the Sword Coast, Baldur's Gate II, MDK2, and Neverwinter Nights.
