Avalanche Software LLC Avalanche is a subsidiary of Disney Interactive Studios (DIS), a unit of The Walt Disney Company, focusing on creation of video games based on Disney intellectual properties in addition to the creation of new properties. Avalanche was acquired by Disney in May of 2005. Until the acquisition, Avalanche had operated as an independent developer in the Salt Lake Valley from its inception in 1995.
