Namco Hometek, Inc. From its humble beginnings in 1955 as an operator of rocking horse rides on the rooftop of a department store in Yokohama, Japan, Namco Ltd. has expanded its business to become a pioneer in diverse forms of amusement and entertainment that help people live their dreams. Namco Ltd., based in Tokyo, Japan, is expanding its consumer business on a worldwide basis by developing innovative games for major home videogame platforms. Namco Hometek Inc., Namco Ltd.'s San Jose, California based consumer R&D group, is staffing development teams for original product development on next-generation platforms as a part of this effort. As with their colleagues in Japan, development teams at Namco Hometek place their R&D focus on creating high-quality, high-performance, and most importantly, high fun-factor games.
